The first section has cannons, which require precise aiming and move at some segments. But most of the level itself isn't that bad- it's the escape portion that's very difficult. It's a hidden level, yes, but on the map screen the game warns you that this level is difficult. In Wario Land: Shake It!, there's Gurgle Gulch, hated for the tricky mini games for treasure and absolutely nightmarish no damage run mission (it involves you swinging between two columns of spikes without getting hit.), Launchpad Labyrinth (get to the end of a dangerous flying obstacle course in the unibucket (rocket) contraption that has to be moved by aiming the boosters, made more annoying by the 'don't get hit' mission, and possibly a few others.Monsoon Jungle on Super Hard difficulty is just plain cruel.Super Hard takes it further and turns it into the hardest level in the entire game. The level is loaded with obstacles and hard to dodge foes, and plenty of lava pits that can eat up any coins that fall out from an enemy. Fiery Caverns is absolute hell for any player attempting to get 10,000 coins. And then there's the tight corridors loaded with giant fish living in holes. There are enemies everywhere, and because your underwater controls and movement are limited, you're a sitting duck for the fast moving enemies, with your only defense is an underwater headbutt that is very hard to use. Mystic Lake is downright sadistic on Hard difficulty.Good luck getting around with a pig constantly following you around and spawning annoying enemies right next to you. Whether you can complete it with 10,000 coins for the bonus music completely depends on what numbers you get at each of the dice blocks, as does getting the jewel pieces to open the upcoming boss door, as does even exiting the level (especially if you've got like 10,000 coins and all pieces, if you don't have near-perfect timing, you can get lightning struck to death by the final roller before you can reach the keyser. The Big Board, especially on harder difficulties.Wario Land 4 has its fair share of tough levels. The entire level is about death breathing down your neck every single second and absolutely zero margin for error with everything you do. When you're back to having to run from the Thwomp, that comes pretty unexpectedly. (You probably died to it straight away just because you're used to those only being able to fall and rise back up in fact, expect the main way a Mario-related game from the days of Nintendo Hard introduces you to new mechanics to be "something kills you by doing something it didn't do in the previous games.") Once you get out of its way, you have to ride it across lava and avoid obstacles that knock you off, and swooping enemies whose knockback will send you into said lava and your timing must be perfect to attack or avoid them. You start with a Thwomp chasing you as you must break several bricks between you and the exit.

Yes, the fourth level is fairly brutal for such an early stage. Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 has Course #4.
